Hon. Ikumogunniyi Biodun Asukuna, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and a 2027 House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, has officially obtained the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms, signaling a formal step in his bid to contest the forthcoming general election.

The forms were picked up at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by a political associate, as the aspirant intensifies consultations and preparations ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for May 2026.

Born into the respected Ikumogunniyi family of Asukuna Compound in Ibadan, Hon. Asukuna’s background reflects a steady rise shaped by discipline, professional growth, and community connection. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, he has built a career in financial management and corporate governance, overseeing complex systems with accountability.

‎Reiterating his ambition, Hon. Asukuna pledged to provide people oriented representation, strengthen party structures, and deepen engagement with constituents if given the mandate.

‎He expressed confidence in securing the party’s ticket, noting that preparations are in advanced stages as the APC primary election approaches in line with the party’s timetable.
