Oyo 2027: Tunde Alonge Intensifies Ibadan North East Constituency II Assembly Race, Picks APC Nomination Forms for Oyo Assembly Race
Hon. Tunde Alonge, foundly called “Lukalo,” a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has officially picked up the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election for Ibadan North East Constituency II.

Lukalo, a grassroots politician from Ward 6 in Ibadan North East Local Government, formally declared his readiness to represent the constituency, reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, community development, and inclusive leadership.


His entrance into the race has continued to attract attention within political circles in the constituency, owing to his longstanding involvement in grassroots administration and party activities over the years.
Hon. Alonge has held several strategic positions in the local government administration. He served as a Caretaker Member in Ibadan North East Local Government in 2014, before later becoming Secretary to the Local Government under the caretaker administration in 2017.

In 2018, he was again appointed Secretary to the Local Government under a duly elected administration, a position through which he contributed to governance and administrative coordination at the grassroots level.
He also emerged as the APC Chairmanship candidate for Ibadan North East Local Government in the 2023 local government election, further strengthening his political profile and relationship with party stakeholders across the constituency.
Party members and supporters who accompanied him during the collection of the nomination forms described him as a loyal party man with colossal experience in grassroots politics and public administration.
