According to the report reaching us, Dr. Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), an aspirant in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) Oyo Central Senatorial Primary Election, is currently leading in several wards where results have so far been released across the district.

‎Early results collated from wards in Ogo Oluwa Local Government, Afijio Local Government, and parts of Oyo Local Government indicate a strong showing for the former Chief of Staff to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, as party members continue the voting process across the senatorial district.

Party supporters and stakeholders monitoring the exercise described the development as a reflection of the growing acceptance of AWA among APC members at the grassroots level.

‎The primary election, which is being conducted through the direct mode across the wards in Oyo Central Senatorial District, has continued peacefully in many areas, with party faithful turning out in large numbers to participate in the exercise.

‎Meanwhile, supporters of Dr. Alli have expressed optimism that the early lead recorded in the released wards would be sustained as more results emerge from other local governments within the district.
