‎Ibadan South East Assembly: Hon Lukman Akanbi Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Accepts Party Supremacy After Ticket Outcome

Hon. (Dr.) Lukman Akanbi Akeem, aspirant for the Ibadan South East State Constituency II seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress), has restated his unwavering loyalty to the party and acceptance of its supremacy, despite earlier aspirations for the party’s ticket.

‎In a statement reflecting reconciliation and commitment to internal cohesion, Hon. Akeem emphasized that his political journey has consistently been guided by discipline and respect for constituted authority within the party structure. He noted that in previous political engagements, he had at different times yielded personal ambition in deference to party decisions, reinforcing his belief in collective progress over individual interest.

‎The aspirant acknowledged the existence of internal challenges typical of competitive political seasons, while urging constructive engagement within party ranks to strengthen internal democracy and deepen grassroots participation. He maintained that such processes, when managed with fairness and inclusivity, remain vital to the long-term stability and growth of the party.

‎Hon. Akeem further disclosed that despite personal and financial commitments made through his political structure, he has chosen unity and reconciliation as a guiding principle, fully accepting the party’s decision in the interest of cohesion, peace, and stability within Ibadan South East politics. He pledged continued loyalty to the APC and assured that his political structure and resources would be mobilized to support the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

‎He called on all party members, stakeholders, and supporters to close ranks and work collectively for the success of all APC candidates across levels. He reaffirmed confidence in the party as the most credible platform for delivering good governance, development, and democratic dividends to the people of Oyo State.
