‎Hijrah 1448: Arisekola Alao Felicitates Muslim Ummah, Calls for Peace, Unity and Renewal

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, APC candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448.

‎In a statement issued to mark the new Islamic year, Arisekola Alao described Hijrah as a moment of deep reflection, renewal, and commitment to the values of faith, sacrifice, and righteousness as taught in Islam.


‎He noted that the occasion offers Muslims an opportunity to recommit themselves to peaceful coexistence, unity, and collective progress, while drawing inspiration from the lessons of patience, perseverance, and devotion associated with the Hijrah journey.

Arisekola Alao urged the Muslim Ummah to use the new year to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and support one another in ways that promote harmony, understanding, and community development across all levels of society.

“As we begin Hijrah 1448, I pray that Almighty Allah grants us peace, guidance, and renewed strength to live in accordance with the teachings of Islam, and to work together for the growth and development of our communities, our state, and our nation.”

The APC 2027 Ibadan North Federal Constituency candidate concluded by wishing the Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Islamic New Year, while praying for continued blessings, unity, and progress across the constituency and beyond.
