JUST IN: Abducted Oriire Pupils, Teachers Regain Freedom
The pupils and teachers who were abducted in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom, bringing relief to their families and residents of the affected community.

The development was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post shared on his verified X account.


”Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies,” Onanuga wrote, confirming the successful rescue of the victims.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities had yet to disclose details surrounding the operation, including the circumstances that led to the victims’ release or whether any ransom was paid.

Security agencies are expected to provide further information as investigations into the incident continue.
