‎Ibadan North 2027: Arisekola Alao Inaugurates Campaign Committee, Pledges to Deliver Democratic Dividends

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, has inaugurated his campaign committee ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election, with party leaders, stakeholders, candidates and party faithful across the constituency in attendance.

‎The inauguration ceremony, held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, marked the formal commencement of activities by the campaign structure as the APC intensifies preparations for the election. The event was attended by prominent party leaders and stakeholders, including Alhaji Akibu Animasahun, Alhaji Ghafar Ojetola, Mama Akerele, Hon. Lasun Adebunmi, Alhaji Bayo Salami, APC Chairman in Ibadan North, Mr. GRA, State House of Assembly candidate, Steve Adeyoju, State Assembly candidate for Ibadan North II, Hon. Saheed Aderonmu (Symbol), and other party chieftains.


‎Speaking at the event, Umar Farouk reaffirmed his readiness to serve the people of Ibadan North, stressing that his aspiration is driven by a desire to use public office to bring meaningful dividends of democracy to the constituency. He assured party members and residents that, if elected, he would approach the responsibility of representation with commitment, accessibility and a strong sense of duty.

‎The APC candidate called for unity and collective effort among party members, noting that the task ahead requires everyone to work together towards securing victory for the party and providing purposeful representation for the people of Ibadan North.

‎The party leaders who spoke at the inauguration harped on the need for unity of purpose, expressing confidence in Umar Farouk’s candidacy and pledging their support towards achieving victory for the APC in 2027. They also assured the campaign committee of their readiness to mobilise party structures and members across the constituency.

‎The campaign committee will be led by Hon. Abiodun Omotosho as Director-General, with Mr. Monsuru Olarenwaju serving as Deputy Director-General for Constituency 1 and Hon. Mukaila Akanji as Deputy Director-General for Constituency 2. Arisekola-Alao urged the committee and all party members to remain committed to the task, saying the collective goal is to return the APC to the Federal Constituency seat and deliver purposeful, people-centred representation to Ibadan North.
