‎Arisekola Alao Clears APC Screening for 2027 Ibadan North Reps Race

Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, 2027 Ibadan North Federal Constituency hopeful and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has successfully passed the screening exercise conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja ahead of the party’s 2027 House of Representatives election.

‎The screening exercise, conducted by the party leadership, was aimed at verifying the credentials, documents, and information submitted by aspirants seeking to contest under the APC platform for various elective positions.


Speaking after the exercise today, Arisekola Alao described the screening process as thorough, transparent, and consistent with the democratic principles and internal processes of the party.

‎“The exercise was conducted in a professional and transparent manner, reflecting the commitment of our great party to fairness, accountability, and due process. I commend the leadership of the APC for ensuring a credible screening process.”

The former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State expressed confidence in the APC’s internal democratic structure, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency through inclusive representation and people-oriented engagement.

He stated that his aspiration remains focused on contributing meaningfully to the development of the constituency and leveraging legislative opportunities to attract tangible dividends of democracy to the people.

‎“My commitment remains to the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency. I believe leadership should be inclusive, accessible, and focused on improving the lives of the people through meaningful representation and impactful development initiatives.”

Arisekola Alao also called on party members and supporters to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC as preparations continue toward the 2027 general elections.
