Hijrah 1448 AH: AWA Advocates Hope, Perseverance, and Spiritual Renewal
Dr. Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), aspirant for the Oyo Central Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Oyo Central Senatorial District, Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.

In his message marking the occasion, AWA described the Hijrah as a significant event in Islamic history that symbolizes faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and complete trust in the will of Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to reflect on the enduring lessons of the migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly the assurance that with faith in Allah comes hope, relief, and ease after periods of hardship.

“The Hijrah teaches us that challenges are temporary and that those who remain steadfast in faith and righteous conduct will ultimately find Allah’s mercy and guidance. It is a reminder that for every difficulty, there is hope for ease, renewal, and a brighter future.”
The APC chieftain called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, to embrace peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity, noting that national progress can only be achieved when citizens work together in harmony for the common good.

AWA further urged Muslims to use the new Islamic year as an opportunity for spiritual renewal, self-reflection, and greater commitment to values that promote peace, compassion, and community development. He prayed that Hijrah 1448 AH would bring abundant blessings, good health, peace, and prosperity to individuals, families, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
