Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for the 2027 election, has joined family members, political associates, friends, and well-wishers in remembering the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, on the sixth anniversary of his passing.

‎In a statement, Barr Akeem Agbaje described the late Ajimobi as more than a politician, but a father figure, mentor, visionary leader, and statesman whose belief in the greatness of Oyo State inspired a generation of leaders and public servants.

He noted that six years after his transition, the memory of the former governor remains alive in the hearts of many who were impacted by his leadership, guidance, and commitment to the development of Oyo State.

‎“Sen. Abiola Ajimobi was not just a politician. He was a father, a mentor, and a visionary who believed that Oyo State could be better and worked tirelessly to make it so. His commitment to good governance, excellence, and service continues to inspire many of us who had the privilege of learning from him and witnessing his passion for the progress of our state. Six years after his transition, his footprints in Oyo State and beyond remain indelible.”

The APC chieftain also paid tribute to the matriarch of the Ajimobi family, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, commending her strength, grace, and steadfast commitment to preserving the values, ideals, and legacy of her late husband.

Agbaje prayed for Almighty Allah’s continued mercy upon the late former governor and for His blessings upon the Ajimobi family.
