Second Anniversary: Arisekola-Alao Honours Late Rep. Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, has paid glowing tribute to the late former member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban, on the second anniversary of his passing.

In a commemorative statement, Arisekola Alao described the late lawmaker as a committed public servant whose tenure in the House of Representatives was defined by purposeful representation, people-centred leadership, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents.


According to him, the late federal lawmaker earned the admiration and respect of the people through accessible leadership and a genuine commitment to improving the living conditions of ordinary citizens.

“Two years after his passing, the memories of Rt. Hon. Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, Jagaban, remain alive in the hearts of the people of Ibadan North. His dedication to quality representation and his passion for uplifting the lives of his constituents continue to inspire many of us who seek to serve.”

‎He noted that the late APC stalwart demonstrated that elective office is a platform for service, adding that his enduring legacy remains evident in the numerous projects and empowerment programmes that continue to benefit residents of the constituency.

Arisekola Alao assured APC faithful and the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency that, if elected to represent them in the House of Representatives, he would build on the solid foundation laid by the late Jagaban while introducing fresh ideas and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of the constituency.

“I remain committed to consolidating the remarkable legacy of Rt. Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi by providing effective, responsive, and people-oriented representation. Our constituency deserves sustained progress through quality legislation, effective oversight, expanded empowerment opportunities, improved educational support, and infrastructure that will positively impact every community.”

He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to forgive the shortcomings of the late Jagaban, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort his family, political associates, and the people of Ibadan North.
