‎Oriire Rescue: Gbolagade Praises President Tinubu, Calls for Sustained Fight Against Insecurity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiodun Gbolagade, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the nation’s security agencies, and the Oyo State Government for the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The Mogaji Olubadan of Oke Labo, Lato Compound, described the rescue as a welcome development that has brought relief to the affected families, their communities, and the people of Oyo State.


‎In a statement, the APC chieftain praised President Tinubu for his continued commitment to strengthening the nation’s security architecture and ensuring that security agencies remain focused on protecting lives and property across the country.

Gbolagade equally commended the Oyo State Government for working closely with the Federal Government and security agencies throughout the rescue operation, noting that collaboration among all tiers of government remains essential in tackling insecurity.

According to him, the successful operation demonstrates what can be achieved when governments and security institutions work together with a common purpose.

“The rescue of the abducted teachers and pupils is heartwarming and reassuring. It is a testament to the dedication of our security personnel and the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to safeguarding the lives of Nigerians.

“I also commend the Oyo State Government for its cooperation with the Federal Government and security agencies. Security is a collective responsibility, and this level of collaboration should continue in the interest of our people.”

He further called for sustained intelligence gathering, improved surveillance, and stronger community policing to ensure that kidnapping and other violent crimes are drastically reduced across Nigeria.

The Oluyole Federal Constituency hopeful further expressed sympathy to the families of the victims for the traumatic experience they endured and prayed that they would recover fully from the ordeal.
