Hon. Ikumogunniyi Biodun Asukuna, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and 2027 House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers of Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

‎In a statement, Hon. Asukuna described the development as a welcome relief to the affected families, the people of Oyo State, and Nigerians at large, applauding the commitment and coordinated efforts of the military, intelligence agencies, and the police in securing the safe return of the victims.

He praised President Tinubu for providing the necessary leadership and support that enabled the security agencies to carry out the operation, noting that the successful rescue demonstrates the importance of collaboration, intelligence-driven operations, and sustained commitment to protecting citizens.

Hon. Asukuna also commended the Oyo State Government and relevant stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the rescue efforts, while urging continued vigilance and stronger security measures around schools and communities across the state.

He expressed sympathy with the victims, their families, and the community over the difficult period they endured, while praying for the quick recovery and wellbeing of the rescued pupils and teachers.
