Arisekola Alao Picks APC Nomination Forms, Signals Readiness for 2027 Ibadan North Reps Race
Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, 2027 Ibadan North Federal Constituency hopeful and former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has officially picked up the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election.

The forms were obtained at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by a political associate on his behalf, marking a significant step in his bid to represent Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.


In a statement, Arisekola Alao described the move as part of his commitment to deepening engagement with the people and advancing a people-focused representation built on accessibility, responsiveness, and tangible impact.
He noted that his decision to formally enter the race is driven by a desire to contribute more directly to legislative processes and bring meaningful development closer to the people of Ibadan North.

“Picking up the nomination forms is a demonstration of my commitment to serve the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency. It is a responsibility I approach with humility, a clear sense of duty, and a determination to make a positive difference.”
Arisekola Alao added that his experience in public service, particularly as former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, has provided him with the administrative exposure and understanding required to effectively represent the interests of his constituents.
Coming from a family known for philanthropy and community service across Oyo State and beyond, a legacy that has continued to shape his approach to leadership and public service.
“As we move forward, I remain committed to engaging widely, listening to the people, and working collectively to build a stronger and more inclusive Ibadan North.”
He called on party members and stakeholders to continue to support the APC, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
