Hon Biodun Gbolagade Emerges APC Flag Bearer for Oluyole Federal Constituency

Hon. Abiodun Biodun Gbolagade has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general election following a landslide victory at the party’s primary election.

‎The APC chieftain secured a total of 2,315 votes across the 10 wards of the constituency to defeat other aspirants in the keenly contested primary election conducted today 16th of May 2026.

‎According to the official collated results made available after the exercise, Hon. Tajudeen Mumeen came a distant second with 218 votes, while Hon. Kehinde Olanrewaju polled 133 votes. Other aspirants recorded lower figures across the wards.



‎The breakdown of the results showed overwhelming support for Hon. Gbolagade across virtually all the wards, reaffirming his strong grassroots acceptance and growing influence within the party structure in Oluyole Federal Constituency.

‎Party faithful, supporters, youth groups, market leaders, artisans, and stakeholders who gathered at the venue of the collation celebrated the outcome with songs and jubilation, describing the victory as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership and longstanding contributions to the party.

‎Speaking shortly after emerging victorious, Hon. Gbolagade expressed appreciation to party faithful, leaders, and supporters for their trust and overwhelming support.

‎The Mogaji Olubadan of Oke Labo, Lato Compound, described the victory as a collective mandate for service, inclusiveness, and grassroots-driven representation.

‎“This victory belongs to the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency and to every loyal party member who believes in our shared vision for progress, unity, and impactful representation. I remain committed to running an inclusive and people-oriented representation that will attract meaningful dividends of democracy to our constituency.”

‎He also extended appreciation to fellow aspirants for the maturity displayed throughout the process and called for unity among party members ahead of the 2027 general election.

‎“With the primary election now concluded, the task before us is to work together as one family to ensure victory for our great party in the general election. Our focus remains the development and progress of Oluyole Federal Constituency.”
