‎Children’s Day: AWA Charges Government on Child Protection, Security, and Safe Return of Abductees

Dr. Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), aspirant for the Oyo Central Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has celebrated children across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day, describing them as the future leaders and greatest hope for a better society.

‎AWA called for the creation of an enabling environment that guarantees the safety, education, welfare, and overall development of children, stressing that every child deserves the opportunity to grow in peace, dignity, and security irrespective of background or location.

‎He also urged the Federal and Oyo State governments to intensify collaboration and strengthen efforts towards ensuring the safe rescue of the abducted children and parents from Ahoro-Esinle, noting that the painful incident remains a source of concern and sadness, especially at a time set aside to celebrate children.

According to him, while children across the country are being honoured and celebrated, his thoughts and prayers remain with the abductees and their families, expressing hope that they would return home safely and reunite with their loved ones soon.

‎AWA further reaffirmed his commitment to youth and child development through people-oriented initiatives, while calling on leaders at all levels to continue prioritising policies and actions that protect the future of Nigerian children.
