Barr Akeem Agbaje Mourns Baba Gani Yaro, Says His Passing Leaves a Void That Will Be Deeply Felt
Barr. Akeem Agbaje, frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for the 2027 election, has expressed heartfelt sorrow over the passing of Alhaji AbdulGaniy Adeyinka Tijani, popularly known as Baba Gani Yaro, describing his death as a deeply personal loss.

In a condolence message, Barr Akeem Agbaje said the late Baba Gani Yaro was far more than a political associate. He described him as a dependable elder, trusted supporter, and father figure whose unwavering loyalty, sincere counsel, and steadfast commitment remained evident throughout the years they shared in the progressive family.


“Baba Gani Yaro occupied a special place in my heart. He stood with me through different moments, offering sincere advice, encouragement, and prayers with the genuine concern of a father. His commitment never wavered, and his loyalty was never in doubt. His passing is painful because we have lost not only a committed progressive but also an elder whose wisdom, calm disposition, and reassuring presence meant so much to many of us.”
“As believers, we submit completely to the will of Almighty Allah, knowing that every soul shall return to its Creator at the appointed time. I pray that Almighty Allah forgives all the shortcomings of our dearly departed Baba Gani Yaro, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and comforts his family, friends, and all of us who mourn him. May Allah grant us the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss.”

The late Alhaji AbdulGaniy Adeyinka Tijani (Baba Gani Yaro) will be laid to rest today in accordance with Islamic rites at his residence in Odinjo, Ibadan.
