Teachers’ Day: Farouk Arisekola Salutes Teachers, Pledges to Prioritise Education Development
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, has commended teachers for their dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds, describing them as catalysts for nation-building.

In a message commemorating the 2026 World Teachers’ Day, marked annually on October 5, Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao acknowledged the important role teachers play in shaping the knowledge, character and future of children and young people.



He said teachers remain central to the development of any society, noting that their work extends beyond classroom instruction to moulding future leaders, professionals and responsible citizens.
Farouk Arisekola said his vision for Ibadan North includes strengthening the development of the education sector and supporting initiatives that advance the welfare, capacity and professional development of teachers within the constituency.


“Teachers are among the most important builders of our society. Their dedication, professionalism and commitment to nurturing young minds deserve our appreciation and support. Every child whose life is transformed through education carries a part of a teacher’s contribution into the future.”
The APC candidate said that, if elected, he would prioritise issues relating to education and the advancement of teachers in Ibadan North, stressing the need for representation that recognises education as a foundation for human and community development.
