Oriire Rescue: Arisekola Alao Salutes President Tinubu, Security Agencies
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Umar Farouk Arisekola-Alao, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Oyo State Government, and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of the pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. He described the development as a major relief for the affected families and the entire state after weeks of anxiety.

In a statement, Arisekola Alao praised the coordinated efforts of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies, noting that the successful operation demonstrated the value of intelligence-driven collaboration in addressing security challenges and protecting innocent citizens.


He also lauded President Tinubu for providing the leadership and support that culminated in the safe rescue of the victims, while appreciating the Oyo State Government for its cooperation with the Federal Government throughout the rescue operation. According to him, the outcome reflects what can be achieved when governments at all levels work together in the interest of the people.
“The safe return of these pupils and their teachers is heartwarming and reassuring. I congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Oyo State Government, our gallant security personnel, and everyone who contributed to this successful operation. Umar Farouk expressed sympathy to the family of the late Mr. Oyedokun, who lost his life during the unfortunate incident, and prayed for the repose of his soul. He also wished the rescued pupils and teachers speedy physical and emotional recovery as they reunite with their loved ones.
The APC candidate urged residents to continue supporting the nation’s security agencies with credible information, stressing that collective vigilance remains essential to combating criminality. He reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that promote the safety of schools, communities, and the overall well-being of the people of Ibadan North and Oyo State.
